Terms of Service

1. The service
CampusOS provides a hosted workspace for private universities in Nigeria to manage academic coordination — institutional structure, users, courses, timetables, attendance, announcements and related records. We're currently running this as a proposed department pilot with early institutions, described on our pilot page, ahead of a general release.
2. Accounts
University leadership, administrator and ICT accounts are created by invitation from CampusOS or an existing account holder at your institution. Student and lecturer accounts are created using an institutional email address that matches your university's verified domain. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials and any activation links confidential.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Access or attempt to access data or workspaces belonging to another institution.
- Use the service to store or distribute content you don't have the right to share.
- Attempt to circumvent role-based access controls or the attendance verification flow.
- Interfere with the normal operation of the service for other users.
4. Institutional data
Your university owns the data it puts into its workspace. CampusOS processes that data to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy, and doesn't sell it or use it to train unrelated products.
5. Availability
During the pilot phase, CampusOS is provided without an uptime guarantee or formal service-level agreement — see our status page for the current health of the service. A formal SLA will be part of any post-pilot annual licence agreement.
6. Fees
Pricing shown on this site (for the department pilot or an annual licence) is a proposal, not a binding quote — final terms are agreed directly with your university before any commitment is made.
7. Termination
Either party may end a pilot engagement with reasonable notice. On termination, your university can request export of its institutional data as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Limitation of liability
CampusOS is provided on an “as is” basis during the pilot phase. To the extent permitted by law, CampusOS isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. This section will be superseded by the liability terms in any signed pilot or licence agreement.
9. Governing law
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
